This is me refusing to believe that it’s practically winter, never mind the fact that it snowed in Toronto a few days ago, or that a few more minutes of taking photos could have resulted in missing fingers. But can you blame a gal for trying to make this glorious season last forever? As a Winnipegger who’s used to snowfall in October, you best believe that my obsession with ditching the winter parka in lieu of chicdom (aka flirting with hypothermia) kicks in rather violently when the temperature continues to hover around 0C in late November!
So what’s the solution to dressing as warm as possible in increasingly frosty conditions? Well, layers upon layers of knits, leather, wool and etc. is a no brainer, but with what does one layer with? The answer is draped around my neck– this enormous wool beauty quadruples as a scarf, shawl, Snuggie, and decorative home décor (use it as a throw or as wall tapestry!). I kid you not, dear friends. Throw this over anything (or nothing at all, it’s pretty effective) and you’ll not only look Olsen/Bosworth/Ritchie-chic, but also be the warmest under-dressed person there ever was.
Oh, and look out for upcoming blanket scarf-related posts in the near future. Something tells me this won’t be the last time my newest fave accessory makes an appearance!
