“Time flies” is an expression I seem to be using a lot lately, but it couldn’t be truer. In what seems like the blink of an eye, I’ve gone from nearing the end of my photography course to suddenly being back at my parents’ house for the summer, among other things.
The thing is, life doesn’t wait–it keeps on going whether you’re ready or not. Gone are the care-free days of summer vacations filled pool parties, immeasurable amounts of frozen treats and sleeping past noon. At 19 years old, with 6 weeks before my departure for Toronto, I am finally realizing the true meaning of maturity, the essence of youth and the value of time–that it’s not how much you have left, but how you spend it and with whom.
Ha, I sound like a terminally ill patient with mere months to live, but that’s how I’ve been looking at things lately. With every day passing quicker than the last, I’ve been a bit preoccupied with living in the moment, hence why blogging has been put on the back burner lately. Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes things in life are almost too beautiful to put into words, flit by too quickly to be captured by a lens, and are better off as memories…
Anyways, I’ll leave you with some Frank Ocean, who is my sister’s newest musical obsession and an overall genius.
